Running a MET/CAL Procedure from a Desktop Icon
Setting up an icon to run a procedure
If you run only a few procedures, it would be nice to have these procedures run from a desktop icon. This application note explains how to set up your icon to run a procedure.
First we need to create a shortcut on the desktop for the MET/CAL RunTime executable file. To do this, browse to your shared METCAL directory and find the file MCR32.EXE and click on the file with your right mouse button, then select create shortcut. Drag this shortcut out to your desktop and click on the shortcut with your right mouse button, then click properties then shortcut. Put the following in your target line:
C:\metcal\mcr32.exe -p "Procedure Name" -l "dsn=Calibration Database;uid=user ID name;pwd=user ID password"
Where Procedure Name is replaced by the Procedure you want called and User ID Name is replaced by your User ID and user ID password is replaced by your user ID password.
